Coulldn't hear rear seat speakers. I have good hearing. Took it to the dealer. He said "They all sound like that". Soon after they stopped completely. I have 1 speaker left that works, the passenger door. This is just i of many many problems I accept with this oil burning piece of crap, The dealer refused to fix whatever, he even told me he would get me a bottle of touch on-upwardly paint when I pointed the paint flaws out to him. My only new truck always, and I'll never give GM some other cent. I wont even accept it back for recalls, I promise information technology burns to the footing.

First of all, the driver door speaker quit working; and then the rider door speaker; then the left rear door speaker; now the right rear door speaker quit working. Have read that this issue is due to moisture being allowed to reach the speakers due to poor workmanship at GM. Feel GM should replace all four speakers at no charge. How can all four speakers go out without at that place being a manufacturing outcome?

I too, like several others, have the problem of all four door speakers going out. I traced the wiring, just saw no fault. I bought an aftermarket radio and it is doing the same affair. Only the tweeters in the mail on the edges of the windshield work. So far, I have not been able to fix this. Would capeesh whatsoever help on this. Thanks

2007 Silverado Archetype. Front door speakers stopped working afterwards nigh four years. I finally replaced the stock deck with a Kenwood and that didn't resolve the event.

Concluding fall I ohmed out both forepart speakers and confirmed they were good. I didn't bank check the wiring for continuity back to the deck at the time but now realize I should have. I assumed it was the deck based on similar bug reported on the Internet.

And so, with the new deck and OEM speakers, only the tweeters in the front doors and the rear speakers are working. Tomorrow, I'll take the deck out again to cheque the wiring to the speakers and probably pull the door panels again to cheque the speakers once again.

Bully truck, most null issues in viii years, but GM stereo systems absolutely suck. My 2002 Buick Royal had the Monsoon stereo system and it too had severe bug over the years. Declining speakers, inability to play CD's, squirt CD's.

All of my speakers quit working except 1 tweeter on the driver's side. information technology'due south horrible sounding. The radio works fine except for that. I had to go to Detroit (my hometown) for concern, and after driving eleven 1/2 hours suddenly everything kicked on. (Of coarse the volume was total blast) I thought, great, it fixed itself. Everything worked fine for 3 days, and then quit over again. I want to fix the trouble, but I don't know if it is the radio non sending a signal to the speakers or if information technology is my speakers. I don't want to supplant a perfectly skillful radio/speaker for naught.

This was also a major problem when I tried to use OnStar, I could not hear the operator, which caused me to become mode out of my way. I'm simply glad I didn't have an emergency where I needed the phone or OnStar considering without the speakers they both are useless.

Speakers stopped working forth with cab light when opening door. Had vehicle in nearly a month agone for work and asked them well-nigh it. Was told that they were not aware of any bug addressing these issue's, and that my speakers were probably going bad. How could the speaker impact the low-cal? Something is rotten in Denmark here, and to stand at that place and lie to my face- well, this should be investigated and a retrieve issued to set up an patently factory (crummy parts) problem. I run into that this is a widespread problem subsequently reading this website, and I would think that Chevy would similar to retain their client base of operations and do the correct affair here.

One of the door speakers quit working in my 2007 Silverado. At work we too have a 2008 Silverado equally a pool vehicle, and all of the door speakers quit working in it, and only the tweeter speakers in the posts are working. It is unbearable to listen to with simply the tweeters working. I'yard agape my other door speaker will become out in my Silverado and I won't exist able to listen to the stereo or employ the phone. I would similar to know the cause of the trouble, and how to fix it.

For the past yr the radio volume would quickly go to side by side to nothing. Then back on. But mostly it'south barely audible. Same with CD. Searched this site, and saw that others had the problem. Most sounds like the amp. Checked antenna, etc. New radio in my future?

Sometimes only my tweeters in the mail service play, sometimes simply the right or left side plays, but never all of them at the same time. By and large just the tweeters play. I hate it. May have to trade for a Ford. Never endemic a vehicle that was not a Chevy merely after this 2007 Silverado, I am very disappointed in Chevrolet.

Silverado 5.3L V8

Both rear speakers and front right (passenger side speakers--door and at dash level) have no sound. Bought the truck new in Baronial 2007. Trouble started occurring after the 3-year, 36000 warranty ran out. I did not purchase additional warranty. I have been putting up with the trouble since nearly Dec 2010. The "open up door with primal in ignition" alarm is barely aural and seems to come from the left, front (drivers side--dash level) speaker. I tin can still hear the radio through the one speaker that is working, simply is definitely abrasive with rear passengers in ext. cab trying to hear something from the one tiny dash level speaker that works. The trouble has moved around over time---certain speakers worked, while others did not, and they eventually quit working until I have what I described to a higher place. GM obviously does not use quality parts in their stereo systems. I am not impressed! While very abrasive and disappointing, I would like to get it stock-still, but tin't run into spending the money on this, when I have many other pressing priorities for my hard earned income.

GM audio systems are full junk. Radios from Walmart perform for longer periods then GM radios. My truck was only three years old when one-half the speakers stopped working. I'll supplant it with an aftermaket unit of measurement.

All iv speakers in the doors on my 2007 Silverado quit working, so to top it off they are molded into the door panel, this is a crap blueprint...simply reason is to brand associates fast at the factory, these guys could care less what it costs to fix. Speaker curlicue show open when cheque with a meter......make in United mexican states.... I accept never heard of this until I started looking on line and find it is common occurrence.

Design/engineering defect. Speaker wiring harness wearing. I accept On-Star, and of course with that XM Radio, Safe and Sound, etc. The speakers work from time to time, but have a will of their own. Non till i've starting having bug did I detect out that a fleet of government GM service trucks I am responsible for, have the same problems. One of my beau employees just purchased a fairly new Silverado just about like mine, except mine is a 4x4, and, is having same problems. What is actually disturbing is that concluding Tuesday, our area had a downpour of rain and on my manner to work noticed a car overturned over an embankment. 3 passengers were upside downwardly in their seat belts and couldn't become out. I used my On-Star to call 911 and because the but speaker that was working was on the rider side colonnade, I had to plough up the volume as loud as I could just to hear them. I kept request the operators and emergency personnel to repeat because I could bearly make out what they were saying. What's disgusting is that the two older cars that I have the stock radio systems and notwithstanding work fine. I might have to discontinue my On-Star service that GM has been pushing equally one of their major purchase package.

This happened 8k miles out of warranty. My extended coverage programme I purchased through GM will not honor the speaker as an "electric repair " & the dealer wants over $140 to replace the speaker. Non COOL... Now I'll just wait for the rest of them to go & purchase a nice in dash DVD system & speakers. I just have a feeling On-Star volition take a dump if I do that. & I do like my On-Star.
